editWilliam Russell (1740-1818) would make a better title. --Wetman (talk) 02:05, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Ancestors
edit- I would question whther the ancestors listed are correctly described as ironmasters, save in so far as they were partners in Principio Furnace. I know of no reference to any having ironworks in England. Accoridngly they are correctly described as manufacturing ironmongers. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:22, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
- I would also be intersted in knowing the authority on whcih the earlier paragraphs as based, which is not clear from the article at present. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:26, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
Source
editWilliam Russell died on 26 January 1818 [source: ODNB]. The Russells of Birmingham by S H Jeyes (London: Allen, 1911) is at Archive [1] and includes a portrait of the subject (frontispiece). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.208.196.40 (talk) 21:48, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing that out, anon. I've since used that and another Archive link to source the birth and death dates, and that book provided a nice image for the article. — Huntster (t @ c) 11:41, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
Priestley link needed
editI noticed a couple of links to Priestley, which I understand to refer to Joseph Priestley. Frankly, I don't have time to research and write about the link between these two Dissenters and proto Unitarians, so I'm not adding a wikipedia link to the first reference on this page, which IMHO opinion could use some explication about their connection.Jweaver28 (talk) 16:31, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
- There is already a link in the lead. We do not like more! Peterkingiron (talk) 16:52, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
