In the interests of transparency, and to deal with any perceived conflicts of interest in my editing, I am happy to disclose that I was previously employed by the World Bank. I worked primarily on renewable energy, but also covered other issues such as energy access. I was not paid to edit Wikipedia, but as a mission-driven organization focused on international development my job did involve knowledge generation and dissemination. (My previous jobs overlapping with my editing on Wikipedia have all been in the public sector and have had similar objectives). I consider myself an expert on a number of issues as a result of my work globally and in a number of specific countries, and I therefore make occasional edits to Wikipedia to improve articles that are out of date or where the information is poorly organized or incorrect. On a couple of occasions I have also created new articles on emerging topics. My edits do sometimes touch on my work, but I strive to ensure that such edits are impartial and reflect my knowledge on the topic. Please get in touch if you would like further details, or wish to query one of my edits and I'd be happy to explain/justify/review/remove as appropriate. Many thanks!
