In order not to lose momentum, we would like to begin the New Year with a "Featured List Awareness Month". There are many ways Wikipedia editors can contribute to this
- Look for (or write!) lists that already fulfill the criteria and submit them for nomination;
- There are many quality lists, like List of national libraries, which have many red links. You could write the missing articles and generally improve the usefulness of the list;
- Review the quality of existing Featured Lists e.g. by updating content, migrating to newer citation styles, reviewing the license of images, etc. In cases where the quality of the list has eroded considerably editors can resort to Feature List removal candidates to demote it;
- Participate in the FLC process by reviewing current candidates and giving nominators your feedback;
- Advertise FLC in your Wikiproject of choice.
At the time of this writing there were 192 Featured Lists and the 200th will likely be promoted this month.
