Disambiguation link notification for November 3
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Brian Jones, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Bells, Koto and Recorder (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Budgets
editHi. I wanted to explain why I reverted an edit you made. The problem was that you added an unsourced budget to The Fearless Four (film). This needs to be cited to a reliable source, such as newspaper or trade magazine. We can't use sites like the IMDb because they are user-generated, just like Wikipedia. If you have trouble finding a source or need help, please feel free to ask for help at WikiProject Film. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:30, 24 November 2018 (UTC)

Santana tours
editHi, I know your goal is to make an article for every Santana tour, but I just wanted to make sure that you are aware that Setlist.fm is not an acceptable source on Wikipedia, as it is user-generated information and not verifiable, and the venues and dates for each tour are unreferenced. That makes virtually all the articles unsourced, and it means they are vulnerable to being put up for deletion unless you can find some reliable sources. Thank you. Tommy
editHi CHICHI7YT, I'm not sure if you intended to remove a wikilink form Tommy, but since the whole purpose of disambiguation pages is to provide links to articles whose titles need disambiguating, I have reverted your edit. Leschnei (talk) 01:12, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
- I did intend to remove the link to Tommy (The Who EP), because that link now just redirects to The Who discography page. I don't think it will be necessary for the EP to be linked because it never had an actual article. CHICHI7YT (talk) 01:15, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
- It is quite common to include items which don't have their article on disambiguation pages; this can be done through red links or DABMENTIONs. In my opinion, the EP Tommy is a DABMENTION and is notable enough to be listed. Strictly speaking, the entry should be something like:
- Tommy, a 1970 extended play of songs by The Who
but many editors prefer to use a redirect. Either way is probably fine. Leschnei (talk) 00:01, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
- So I'm reverting back to my old edit. CHICHI7YT (talk) 00:09, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
ArbCom 2019 election voter message
editKay Kamen
editHi CHICHI7YT: On the Kay Kamen page, I'm curious why you took "Jewish" out of the sentence "Kamen was born January 27, 1892 in Baltimore, Maryland to Russian Jewish parents, and spent his early life working as a merchant and an advertising man." The experience of Russian Jewish immigrants is interesting, especially in the late 19th century, so it seems to me like it would be worthwhile to specify "Russian Jewish parents" rather than "Russian parents". Is there a reason why you removed that word? -- Toughpigs (talk) 19:42, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
- I added the Jewish part months ago because I thought the last name Kominetzky was Jewish, but since there isn't a source confirming his actual religion, I removed it. It's not that I'm anti-semitic or I don't care for the experience of Russian Jewish immigrants, it is just that his religion is unknown. User:CHICHI7YT (talk) 19:57, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
- Oh, I see. Thanks for the explanation! -- Toughpigs (talk) 19:58, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

Tagging referenced articles as unreferenced
editPlease be very careful when tagging articles as unreferenced; I have found many which you have incorrectly tagged. GiantSnowman 20:54, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
I am not sure that List of jazz institutions and organizations needed the {{Unreferenced}} tag. The list consists only of blue links, and isn't particularly unwieldy (as opposed to a bunch of red links, non-links, and no sources, in which case {{Cleanup list}} might be more appropriate). If there are contentious entries on the list, it would be better to specify those, or remove them (or address any problems in their respective articles). Thanks, -- Gyrofrog (talk) 18:21, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

Arnold Symphony No. 9
editIn April 2020 you added a call for inline citations tag on the article Symphony No. 9 (Arnold). I've tried to add inline citations to the references that were provided, added new references where needed, and updated the text where it seemed at odds with the sources. I've removed your tag, but added one "citation needed" tag for a statement about a college performance that didn't seem to be mentioned in any of the sources. Deletion for Henry Stickmin article
editDear Chrisnait,
The only reason The Henry Stickmin Collection article was nominalizated for deletion is because you requested it. I know you requested the deletion because of the lack of sources. But there is a reason of why there arent many articles about it: the game is very new.
Even if Henry Stickmin is a very old game series, as it started back in 2007, the games were a bit small, the games were not advertised at all, and the internet was already dominated by other games. However, Henry Stickmin revolutioned choice games because of its amazing structure. Unlike many choice games, Henry Stickmin doesnt have those cringe fails that often lead to "Game Over". The fails are funny, and they also have texts which make them even funnier. They also make no sense, so it's almost perfect for a choice game. Unforunately, ignorance took over, and other games did not follow Henry Stickmin's beautiful structure. Henry Stickmin deserves to be known to the world.
Thats why I think we shouldnt delete the article. If we wait, there will sure be more news articles about Henry Stickmin.
Billy_Beagle Billy Beagle (talk) 12:23, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- You should've commented this on the deletion discussion page. Also, the article is going to be deleted because it needs better sources and the game isn't notable that it is talked about by major news sources, and 3 other editors agree with me on that. Chrisnait (talk | contribs) 12:25, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, Chrisnait. I'm here to talk to you again. But this time, it's not about Henry Stickmin. It's about my privacy. I noticed that you have been following me. And not because I was breaking the Wikipedia rules. I think there's a personal reason. I noticed you undid my edit to the Internet meme article. It was nothing bad in it... Just because I did not find enough references for the Henry Stickmin article, it doesn't mean I am an internet troll or a sockpuppet. I will check my edits regulary now.
- I don't know what you're talking about with your "privacy". All of your edits are public. I don't think you're a troll or sockpuppet. The games are popular, but the article will not be deleted unless someone replaces the Newgrounds posts and YouTube videos with actual news articles. Also, I found your draft for Innersloth on the discussion page. I doubt your draft will be accepted because you need to find good sources for the draft instead of constantly using unreliable sources, such as the company's website, Newgrounds posts, Twitter posts, and links to download the games on Google Play and Steam. The only good source in the article was an article from GameSpot. Here is a list of reliable sources for articles based on video games. Chrisnait (talk | contribs) 16:12, 19 September 2020 (UTC)

27 Club
editEvery entry at 27 Club must include the term "27 Club" in the supporting cites. It's not enough to identify the person as dying at the age of 27. They must be explicitly named as part of the 27 Club. Otherwise it's a violation of WP:SYNTH, with a Wikipedia editor making a connection that the source does not make. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Viva Santana! Tour Program 1988.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Viva Santana! Tour Program 1988.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
