Darko US moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Darko US, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). More importantly, you need to see if the band passes the guideline in WP:NBAND. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2009 World Championships in Athletics, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Natalia Rodríguez. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Athens Mass Transit System

edit

I wish for someone to rewrite Athens Mass Transit System to focus more on Transport for Athens. I am very busy with the Zimbabwean banknotes article modernisation thing and other things. Best, --Minoa (talk) 20:43, 8 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

The whole page is a mess. I think it is actually unnecessary since the Public transport in Athens page covers pretty much the same things. I also believe that there should be a focus on the history of transport in Athens too, which is a very rich topic that is being covered on a rather small scale in Wikipedia. The only problem with Athens' transit history is that it is lacking the necessary sourcing, as most of it can be found on public forums such as leoforeia.gr or mesametaforas.gr.   Hello, Argybz. I noticed that your recent edit to Line 1 (Athens Metro) added a link to an image on an external website or on your computer, or to a file name that does not exist on Wikipedia's server. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external sources on Wikipedia. Most images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia, or their use is subject to certain restrictions. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request that someone else upload it. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Thanks for uploading File:KKE-D logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. File permission problem with File:OXI coalition logo.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:OXI coalition logo.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 16:28, 12 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:OXI coalition logo.png

edit

A tag has been placed on File:OXI coalition logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Non-free rationale for File:DISY logo simple.png

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:DISY logo simple.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Athens Metro Line 2

edit

Your edit at Line 2 (Athens Metro) had to be reverted because there were multiple issues:

  • The bus and trolleybus connections are better suited in each station's article.
  • The distances are not backed by a reliable source.
  • Connections should not be shown as icons per MOS:DECOR.
  • Athens Suburban Railway line numbers were recently discovered to be fake: see Talk:Athens Suburban Railway.

-- Minoa (talk) 19:57, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for any inconvenience, I just finished doing so on line 3 as well. I will revert it myself immediately. The whole idea behind the edits was to create a table of contents similar to the ones that can be found in the pages of Chinese metro lines.
-- Argybz (talk) 20:09, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I understand, but if I recall correctly, featured lists such as List of Los Angeles Metro Rail stations and List of VTA Light Rail stations are a lot more pragmatic than the pages of some Chinese metro lines, and a few featured lists also use symbols for accessibility reasons. The distance markers need a reliable source, otherwise they may impede the article's progress towards being good and/or featured articles. --Minoa (talk) 21:44, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:45, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
