- No worries - I was being a bit unclear so it's no wonder you misunderstood! Your best bet at this point is to work on the article in your sandbox, but I'm afraid it doesn't look likely that there is sufficient notability for the person. That does not mean that he is not important, only that he does not pass the specific guidelines for Wikipedia articles, which is true for most of us. --bonadea contributions talk 17:08, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
Accidental edit
Hi Bonadea, thanks for your message. Sorry for accidentally deleting some of your content. I am still learning the interface and was trying to create a userbox based on your original design. Thanks again. Bryangm2 (talk) 17:36, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
- No worries :-) I thought it must have been a mistake. Have fun editing, and don't hesitate to ask if you want any help! --bonadea contributions talk 17:40, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
Hello Bonadea
Thanks for the messages. I am new at this. Doing my utmost best to work on my first article for Ms. Fontaines on spare time. I have been referring to another page for help with the edit and @Anon126 has provided plenty of help. I thought I had addressed some of the concerns but it does take time. My being new at this slows the process down considerably. I also want to know why various added items to the edit were removed? What about those items created a need for removal. Again. Because I am new (never have done this) I have been referencing another page and looking at that page to see how they've done things. Also what they added and how they listed.
Links referencing Ms. Fontaines attendance at organizations that relate back to references in her biography were removed. And some of her other works also removed. Can you or any of the editors help me to better understand. I made sure that the references were from the sites themselves in order to honor the copyright and liability concerns. Any way in which you can help me to improve on my work for this page is welcome. I want to succeed in doing it justice and also to triumph over a great fear of technical, tedious tasks I normally would fear of approaching. Thanks thanks thanks Venus2211 (talk) 18:11, 11 May 2014 (UTC)Venus2211
- I did a bit of cleanup work on the article, trying to improve it as much as possible. One thing that is important to keep in mind when creating an article is that all information does not belong in Wikipedia - that a person owns a cat is probably not encyclopedic information, unless they have stated in an interview that the cat is extremely important in their life, for instance. One television show was mentioned twice, and the short film that according to imdb is in pre-production was also removed from Fontaines' filmography, because only existing films should be included unless there has been a lot written about them. There were also several imdb links which I removed because only the main imdb link is necessary (and imdb cannot be used as a reference). A couple of links that only led to a photo of the person were removed, because there was no information value there. The "Personal information" section contained a bulleted list (which should be avoided in articles) containing an unsourced birthdate and no birth year, which makes the information irrelevant (and there must be a source for birthdays), and information about her birthplace, which was already in the article - it says that she is Canadian. If she has dual citizenship, that is again information that must have a source to be included.
- As other people have said to you before, don't worry about the technical aspects or how the article is formatted - there are plenty of people who can help out with that. However, what is important is that you add footnotes to the article so we can tell what part of the information comes from which source. Please try to do that - again, it's fine if you add the links to the text, I or somebody else can format the references if necessary. Please note, however, that at present it does not appear that the person is in fact notable enough for a WIkipedia article. That does not mean that she's not important, only that she doesn't meet Wikipedia's very specific notability criteria.
- Finally, what do you mean by "I made sure that the references were from the sites themselves in order to honor the copyright and liability concerns."? Which references, and which sites? --bonadea contributions talk 18:54, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
@Bonadeal Thanks for the reply message. I understand some of the above but not all of it. I don't know what you mean by footnote. Do I add information on edit and then put in brackets where the source was from and how it is real? The technical aspect is a concern. It slows me down therefore getting necessary details up on the page is a snails pace. Then the page has been deleted 2 x and I start over. I think for new people it makes it hard. Time is needed to put all of the things required together. How have some of the other editors got "proof" of dual citizenship or that a "living person" is Spanish, Canadian or British? I was looking at another Canadian actress as an example. I found her on Ms. Fontaines imdb page and in photos. I thought it very cute that there was mention of her dog. Ms. Fontaines does a lot of Cats and dogs and bringing awareness to fostering, adopting and rescues. Her cat is important to her. She found the cat a feral. I have followed her tweets and instagram on the story of the cat. She found her in a church parking lot and took her in. For a new person like me it becomes a search out, seek, learn and compare notes to other pages. That includes the "notable" part. I am doing my best to look at what is considered notable based on what I see is already existing. Can you help please? I really would like to make it work. I need time and research both within wikipedia and externally to source and gather what is needed. If the page is deleted I will have to start all over again as I gather what is needed. Thanks thanks thanks Venus2211 (talk) 20:13, 11 May 2014 (UTC)Venus2211
- Footnotes are references at the foot (bottom) of the page, which refer to a particular part of the text. Anon126 has explained very clearly (I think) how to create a footnote in the text, as a reply to the post you made to their talk page. If you read that explanation, as well as the other responses they made to your questions, I think you will find that this is not at all complicated.
- How does an editor find proof of somebody's nationality, birthday or other facts? That's a great question, and the answer is that we find it in reliable sources. In a paper encyclopedia for instance, you can often find these facts, or in newspaper interviews with reputable newspapers or journals. Sometimes, a person's own website can be used to confirm these kinds of facts, too (but IMDB can't be used as a source). However - and this is really important - a person's own website, Twitter feed, Facebook page or Instagram page can never be used as proof that a person is notable. For that, we need secondary sources - sources that are written by people who are independent of the person. I understand that you were touched by the cat story, but again, it is not encyclopedic information, and at this point it would be much better to focus on showing that independent sources have written about Fontaines. I have tried quite hard to find such sources, but have failed - not even her own website has links to sources that show notability (it's mostly the same links that are in the article). Articles in journals like InStyle and Marie Claire still don't show notability unless it is a long article that is actually about the person (so the InStyle piece on the Los Angeles Film Festival does not count, because it is an article about a different subject that only mentions Fontaines briefly.) I'm off to bed now and won't be around until tomorrow evening. Please note that the deletion discussion for the article will take at least seven days. Best, --bonadea contributions talk 20:35, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
bonadea Hello Bonadea and thanks for all this assistance. And to [[User talk:Doctree| for inviting me to the "teahouse" for tea. :) I may need time to understand the before I get on there. I know all this may be simple to you and I may seem technically illiterate. I am. This is all like a new language for me. I am like a baby learning how to speak your language. Because I don't do this type of work ever means that all of it is daunting and kind of like going to another country and not knowing the language. Thanks for bearing with me and please grant me more patience. I know I have a week. That feels like very little time to for me for where my understanding level is currently at. I understand better now about footnotes but I tried to use footnotes with the directions given by @anon126 and some of them were removed. I think one or more of the editors may be confusing that the online magazine articles are the only ones that were written. I was told that you can reference articles that are not online and I added those (some were removed). Also... There are 4 different hour to hour and a half long radio interviews with Ms.Fontaines on Artists First Radio that contained a lot of the information I provided in the Bio. Also, one of the INSTYLE articles was 3 pages on Ms. Fontaines alone. No other persons. Just Ms.Fontaines. That article is not online but there are photos of the article on Ms. Fontaines Website. I can try and reach the journalist who wrote the 3 page article on Ms. Fontaines which included a cover on INSTYLE reference to the story about her. This will be easy to do the journalist is on Facebook. The reference to that article and mention of it were removed by one of the editors. I don't know why. There were 3 articles all together of Ms. Fontaines included in Instyle and Marie Claire. 2 of those 3 were solely on Ms. Fontaines. Can you help me with this? There is also an entire interview with Starchat Magazine whereas Ms. Fontaines at the Action Icon Awards. The articles in The Vancouver Sun and Vancouver Westender are not available online. Those are two major Canadian publications. Thanks thanks thanks Venus2211 (talk) 19:32, 12 May 2014 (UTC)Venus2211
- None of the references you had added was removed (only duplicates of the same reference were deleted), so don't worry about that. References to offline sources are fine, but please make sure that the source actually mentions the information in the article. One of the footnotes you added leads to an article in InStyle magazine that doesn't mention anything of what is in the Wikipedia article (it's a recipe, and there is nothing in the InStyle article about Fontaines' spare time activities). I confess to being confused about the three-page article in InStyles that you mention. The article in the photos near the top of http://www.anastasiafontaines.com/media.html, where it says "Anastasia Fontaines featured in INSTYLE Magazine" (here) is just a single-paragraph mention of Fontaines, not a three-page article, so you must be referring to some other article - however, I can't find any other InStyle article on Fontaines' website. So that makes one InStyle article with a recipe (not showing notability) and one InStyle article with a very brief mention of Fontaines plus some other people (also not showing notability). May I ask which version of Marie Claire magazine that had an article on Fontaines? (I am not familiar with the magazine but apparently there are at least three versions, UK, US, and France.) Cheers, --bonadea contributions talk 20:30, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
- [User:Bonadea]] Hello Bonadea
- I was able to reach the journalist that interviewed Ms. Fontaines via facebook at first and then email. The journalist who did the 3 and 2 page articles featuring Ms. Fontaines in Marie Claire and Instyle. She would be happy to assist in providing proof of the articles but they are not available online. She pointed out that she had photographs of the magazine article. At the time the issues came out on Ms. Fontaines in Marie Claire and Instyle she was travelling and didn't have the hard copy of the articles available but she had photographs taken of the articles. Who of all the editors can I send the photographs of the 2 and 3 page articles on Ms. Fontaines to? Thanks thanks thanks Venus2211 (talk) 06:43, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Venus2211
- No, there is no need (or possibility) to send photos of the articles to anybody. The important thing is to provide actual, valid citations to articles that support what is in the article text. For that, we need the exact information about the articles. As far as I understand, you are referring to two different articles, one in Marie Claire and one in InStyle. Let's take them one by one.
- Again, which edition of Marie Claire are we talking about, the French one, the British one, the American one, or another one? I assume the article referred to is "Making Friends at the Los Angeles Film Festival 2013"; which issue of the magazine did it appear in, and on which pages?
- What is the actual title of the InStyle article cited as "A day in the Life of Actress Anastasia Fontaines"? That is clearly not the real title, since the magazine is in Hungarian. We have to have the actual Hungarian title (adding a translation is fine, but the translated title doesn't help the readers find the original article, which is the point of having a citation.) Which pages did it appear on in the magazine?
- Please confirm that this InStyle article is a different article from the one in the photo on Fontaines' website. --bonadea contributions talk 10:44, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

- [User:Bonadea]] Hello Bonadea
I have since been able to reach the journalist on these articles she works for both Marie Claire and Instyle. There are 3 separate magazine articles in INSTYLE on Ms. Fontaines The one below is different from the one in which Ms. Anastasia Fontaines shares her Hollywood health regimen and beauty tips with Instyle . That article was removed from my edit. I don't know why. The message from the Journist below. Her native language is Hungarian therefore it does translate differently. That article was a for some of Europe and centralized in Hungary. THAT one that was removed is a different issue again solely on Ms. Fontaines. The Marie Claire article was by the same Journalist. It was noted that both Marie Claire and Instyle readers took interest in hearing more therefore Ms. Vida did more on Ms. Fontaines. The red carpet ready article had MS. Fontaines going through two days of red carpet preparation along with the journalist. visiting the designers that dress her and the celebrity stylists who do her hair, makeup, nails for her walks on the red carpet and Hollywood High Profile award show,s events, charities etc.
From Virag the journalist:
" The Title is A GIRLS DAY IN HOLLYWOOD Getting Red Carpet Ready with actress ANASTASIA FONTAINES" and 3 pages worth. :) "
Do you have any idea why the other article on Ms. Fontaines was removed. It was Hollywood lifestyle based and on Ms. Fontaines only. I edited the dates , language and other specifications. Some were removed.
Also. There were 4 different full 1 hour or more interviews on Radio shows all of which included the different references that were noted as "not cited" . They are long interviews. 4 hours worth. All of the information I included in the biographies were touched upon in the various interviews. Some were from Artist First Radio. Others about ethnicity from "Teens Wanna Know" and others from "Starchat Magazine" at the action Icon awards.
I also have found permission from 2 different wireimage photographers to include photographs they took of Ms. Anastasia Fontaines at various A-lister events and carpets. 2 photos have permission to date and I will do my best to contact some other photographers. Thanks Thanks thanks. New note : Anastasia Fontaines has in fact appeared on Artists first radio 8 times. That is more than 8 hours worth of interviewing. All of the information included in the Biography and more that has not been added about Ms. Fontaines work is covered in those interviews. The last 4 interviews specified her works as a producer. I remembered that I'd listened to quite a few radio shows. It's not 4 it's 8 shows.

- No reference to any article about Fontaines has been removed. You can go through each and every edit made to the article here and see that. The same reference was mentioned several times, and the duplicates were removed. (I did it myself, so I know that's what it was; another editor, who is more experienced than I am, also helped clean up and remove duplicate edits with this edit.) Photos of a person at an event are not an indication of notability. And yet again, the title of the Hungarian-language article was clearly not "A GIRLS DAY IN HOLLYWOOD Getting Red Carpet Ready with actress ANASTASIA FONTAINES", and we still don't know which issue of the magazine it appeared in, or on which pages, as I asked above. In any case, it does not seem that the general notability guideline is being met for this person - maybe she will become notable in the future, and then somebody will surely create an article about her. --bonadea contributions talk 16:18, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
- [User:Bonadea]] Hello Bonadea
I have question about notifications. I didn't receive a notification indication that you responded. Didn't know you had. Is there a reason why it didn't appear? On the article "A Girls Day in Hollywood getting red carpet ready is what the journalist shared both on a radio show and in a message to my husband who's helping with the article. I know the radio shows are long, making them harder to listen to (source out) and the journalist for Instyle and Marie Claire also spoke on the radio about this article for Ms. Fontaines on radio. The article is about getting red carpet ready. You'd have to listen to all the shows and they're long. I have been peeking in on other wikipedia entries in order to get an idea about notability and the sort of things editors add. I added more than I see in some other articles and references as much as I understand. Can someone help me to understand sourcing out process? I had another editor say that it's not up to me to prove these exist. They do. Not all of them online. I provided the date of the issue and number of pages. I don't have the issue number. I'll see if I can get it. Thanks Venus2211 (talk) 21:23, 25 May 2014 (UTC)Venus2211
- I apologise for not adding a notification to your user talk page. I don't usually do that when another user and I are having a conversation because I assume that they will check this page, but since I had notified you before you had no reason to know that such notifications would not appear. I'll try to remember to do it in future. You don't need to provide copies of the articles (which I also said to you above), but we do need to have the exact titles, not the translated titles. (What does "red carpet ready" mean?) Also, the source doesn't need the number of pages, it needs to state which page numbers the article appears on (for instance "p. 12-13" if the article is on pages 12 and 13.) About sources and referencing - please take a look at this page (and the following pages) - it is a tutorial for new editors, which I think explains sourcing in a good way. Thank you! --bonadea contributions talk 18:14, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
bonadea Hello Bonadea Cool. Thanks for the response. I depend on things such as your notifications especially when I don't know anything differnt (learning), I learn to watch for them etc. If it changes it becomes a mystery to me again. I'd like to know how you add a notification now that you've explained that the notifications can be added or left out. Can you help with that? Red carpet ready I assume means what you often will see on shows and in magazines about the actual "process" an entertainer goes through before they are ready for a red carpet walk. I read that some entertainers rent suites near Oscar venues for their stylists, make-up people, designers and wardrobe stylists. They will often stay at that location the evening before in order to be as fresh and polished as possible for the carpet walk, photographers and press. Some even go through specific dietary restrictions. Pamela Anderson once stated that she avoids salad greens days before press or carpet events. They cause a "plumping" or "bloating" according to her. Being carpet ready seems to mean having a team of people helping to get them carpet ready esthetically and whatever else it is that they do to look their very best. The designers use the entertainers to promote their fashions. The entertainers borrow or are given the wardrobe to wear in various public celebrity events. Same with the hair stylists, make-up, stylers and accessory designers. They will only loan or give their product to entertainers who are getting a certain level of visibility or interest. It helps them to get their brand out there. This is "carpet ready" from what I have read, watched on t.v and seenout there. Venus2211 (talk) 05:38, 28 May 2014 (UTC)Venus2211 thanks Bonadea

Dear Mister Bonadea,
I don't understand why did you flag my link as spam ? as I understand : Citation spamming is a form of search engine optimization or promotion that typically involves the repeated insertion of a particular citation or reference in multiple articles by a single contributor., our goal is to list ALL the relevant websites ( and not only mine !), BTW
- I don't have any casino
- I'm not owner /affiliate of any of them
- I'm trying on anyway way to motivate web user to click on any of them
- I have no backlink to any of them
I'm ready to change / modify the presentation or add more explanation in order to not be flag as SPAM

- Hi Torxx666, as you may have noticed, your link has been removed by three different editors from three different Wikipedia articles (in other words, repeated insertion of a particular reference), so this is not just my personal opinion or assessment. The casino-domain website does not meet the requirements for a reliable source, and it does not appear to be the type of external link that can be added to an article per Wikipedia's external link policy. Adding citations and links
Hi Bonadea, Thank you for your message.
The text I added was highly relevant to each section as was the link that I included to the publication. As an lecturer at University, I am frequently asked for a simple guide to elements and principles of design, and this prompted my eBook and additions to the relevant Wikipedia pages.
For your information, I have published widely and my publications include scholarly and non-scholarly books, journal articles, etc. I hold a PhD and Masters degree in Design and many Wikipedia pages include links to my publications - this is normal practice when providing references and substantiation to text added to Wikipedia. The following link is to my page at Academia.Edu.

I trust that you will allow me to continue adding relevant text and links to relevant publications as appropriate.

External link to http://FindMyRingSize.com removed
Hello Bonadea
Thanks for the edits and the attention about adding external links. I have asked a few times what is the problem with the link to http://FindMyRingSize.com? It is the only online ring sizer and extremely relevant to the ring size article. Why is it not a reliable external link when no such calibration tool exists? I understand the policy regarding spam, but do would like to know how to improve the citation regarding online ring size measurement tools?

Neutrality of the article & corrections
Thank you so much for your time spent on my edits dear Bonadea. I`m an amateur in Wikipedia edits, as you understand. I'll try my best to correct my mistakes done in this article and not to do anymore while improving it that I don't waist your precious time. However my English is not great, so I'm really sorry for many wrongs & I need proper copy edit from professional, as living person - artist's article I do edit is very important to not edit it wrongly. Please forgive me my mistakes & if you find some time to guide me how to make my edits in article look enough NEUTRAL, I'll be very thankful. Anyway I try to learn much more to be able to do it myself as I'm enjoying contribution in Wikipedia.

- Thank you for your message! I have done some more copy editing of the article, but it still needs more work. I'll try to get back to it this afternoon - I'm off to vote now as it is election day in my country. I'll try to explain some more about neutrality and sources, as well. Thanks for your hard work on the article! --bonadea contributions talk 09:46, 25 May 2014 (UTC)
Please look before you do your mod thing
It's great your so vigilante about your neutrality and cited sources, but I would prefer you pay a little more attention before doing your job like its a monotonous thing you just wanna hastily get over with, because I spent a lot of time on that edit (and am spending my time on more) and I would like it if you didn't treat it so lightly. From my understanding wiki is volunteer work, you don't want to put effort into it then don't do it.
About the sources, what sources do you need from first hand experience? Everything I'm writing, ask anyone in my school and they'll be able to verify it, I'm not sure how to cite sources for a fact when it just is. It's something I've always had trouble with - because to me, the stuff I write is just as true as the statement "coca cola is biggest brand in the world", because it just is, and everybody knows that.
Yes, while I agree that not all information belongs in a Wikipedia article, culture is something important enough to be included. You can't stop me from writing about my school's obsession with appearance, just as you can't stop me from writing about the clothing requirements of a religious ceremony or a culture.
And if you really wanted to help, instead of all of this semi-censorship you're doing in being biased towards the uninformative crap written by the person who wrote that thing you reverted my edit to, why don't I finish my edit, perhaps send it to you through email or something and you help instill some of your precious neutrality.
I'll be honest, I have a personal stake in this and while I try, I can't be completely neutral about my school but you can. And ultimately an encyclopedia's objective is accumulating information rather than shunning something just because it looks biased. If you can help me extract fact from opinion, that would be great. If not, I would prefer if you exercised your discretion a little more carefully, or just take a break from your moderator work if you're not in it. - Thank you for your message. I am not a moderator - there are no such creatures here - simply a regular editor like yourself, albeit with a little bit more experience of the ins and outs of Wikipedia rules. Weirdly enough, Wikipedia does not accept first-hand experience as a source. If Queen Elizabeth II of England came to edit Wikipedia, she would not be allowed to insert her own personal knowledge into the article about her son, for instance - not unless there were reliable sources confirming the information. So all information has to have a source (you might quite reasonably argue that there is a lot of information in various articles without any source, but there shouldn't be.)
- I certainly understand wanting to add information about a subject you know a lot about and feel strongly about. However, opinions can never be presented as facts, and phrasings like "students can enjoy basking in the liberty of wearing what they want to wear" are simply not neutral (I suspect you weren't actually shooting for neutrality - as an aside, I don't think I could ever work in a place with a strict dress code, I personally can't stand that sort of thing). Anyway, maybe you could have a look at this information? It is a general guideline about what belongs and doesn't belong in an article about a school. Information about school uniforms, dress codes, and casual days can certainly be included if there is a source and if the info is presented in a neutral manner. That the staff will pull you over for a chat if you don't adhere to the dress code, on the other hand, is trivial information as opposed to encyclopedic information. I hope this makes sense. - The existing sources in the article say 1971, and even specify which films are included, so please do not change this unilaterally - you are more than welcome to discuss it on the article's talk page, and if you get a consensus with other editors, the information can be changed. Prithvi Raj S Amin
Once you removed the personal stuff from the article, all that's left is in the Youflik article already. Also, the article creator was an SPA who created it and vanished; look at the history and you can see Prithvi is editing his own article, and I suspect the creator is Prithvi as well. Rajesh Khanna
(Atul Talashikar (talk) 10:40, 6 June 2014 (UTC))You have given totally wrong information on Rajesh Khanna page...Rajesh Khanna had a phenomenal period from 1969 to 1972 instead of 1971...Apna desh was his 15th super hit film. Rajesh never gave 15 consecutive hits..try to understand or please do your self research.I have done an authentic research on Rajesh Khanna.Rajesh Khanna was a Superstar from 1969 to 1974 Period in which his phenomenal period was 1969 to 1972. Please do not shortened it to 1971. He had a major 3 hits in 1972 and they were Dushman, Amar Prem And Apna Desh. in 1971 He had 2 flops which were Mehboob ki Mehendi and Chhoti Bahu then how could he delivered 15 consecutive hits??? Infact Mehboob ki Mehendi was released just before the Film Anand. Lots of information I have found out from National Film Archive of India which is in Pune. Please do search it in proper way and give information to the world. Thank you.(Atul Talashikar (talk) 10:40, 6 June 2014 (UTC))

This song was originally recorded by Iglesias with American pop stars singer Lopez. In 2011, Iglesias and Lopez talked about touring together to all fans which as know as Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez in Concert. Meanwhile Iglesias, Lopez and with Yandel presented by State Farm Insurance and host it by Mario Lopez was joined with them to moderating (L) Singers. Iglesias and Lopez announce their upcoming Summer Tour at Boulevard3 on April 30, 2012 in Hollywood, California. Later on Lopez saying "that "it's going to be one of the most historic tours ever, as there had never been something like this where Latinos come together like this". It's international – "English and Spanish". They further described it as "groundbreaking", feeling honored to be apart of it also Recording artist Frankie J. was then named as their replacement. He said, "I am super excited to join Iglesias and Lopez on this adventure. They are global superstars and I am honored that they invited me to be a part of their tour".

- Thanks, I have already updated the link in Spamming[1] leading to the original version of "Origins of spam" on Myshele Goldberg's website, as opposed to the unattributed copy of her article on the seoash.com site, which you linked to. To put it bluntly, the fact that you took the time to copy somebody else's article and paste it onto your own website, putting your own name on it, does not give you the right to spam Wikipedia with links to your site. re citations for WP:Bodybuilding articles
Re this, citing bodybuilding articles is problematic because the nature of the sport is all about promotion and sponsorship; the page your removed didn't really have much advertising on it; newspaper and news-sites have far more. See my comments on the adding user's talkpage. WP:Bodybuilding has been dormant for a while, most active editors there other than myself haven't posted on its talkpage for quite a while. Bodybuilding.com which is an ad-driven site like most bodybuilding cites, is often used for bios and contest result listings....because there are no "reliable sources" of the usual kind, because of the "normal" media's effective blackout on bodybuilding and bodybuilders (never mind their habit of describing anyone with abs as a "bodybuilder") and, as noted to that user, local news coverage is discounted as a source by normal Wikipedia guidelines, and it's local newspapers who do cover bodybuilding shows locally, or hometown heroes.Skookum1 (talk) 00:52, 15 August 2014 (UTC)

2 being deleted instead of 1
Hi. I admit I wrote a short bit about myself on Mike McNally 8-8-1980. (Today) But on checking this was already on wikipedia from an earlier time which I did not write myself. I understand if you delete the submission I made today 6am GMT. Containing my full name Michael Patrick Kevin Anthony McNally. But this one concerned was already on the site from an earlier time I only realised AFTER I had posted the submission today. There is a need to delete one of the two submissions but not the first one. It feels like because I have written one submission I am being punished by removing another one that had already been approved by wikipedia. The fact is it is notable. A film actor is usually only notable for being in films even if only one film. There is no need to waffle on about my life history. It is notable for winning a $100 million competition and a football tournament. Thats two things. I don't need to change the one that was already there as it had already been approved. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mike1980McN (talk • contribs) 12:38, 5 September 2014 (UTC) Say this has been on wikipedia since 2010 (I don't know) if it is deleted after less than four years it doesn't say much for the permanence of wikipedia. Refrain from threats on Wikipedia
Please refrain from acting like some kind of police of Wikipedia. Your entire tone is nonsense. For one if you accuse someone of vandalism I should report you for uncivil behavior. If you do not like an edit that is for the talk page not my user page. And why are you lecturing me about being blocked, do you think this is something someone will get blocked for? Be careful because you could get reported for this tone.--Inayity (talk) 15:26, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- I understand that you are frustrated, but please rest assured that I have never threatened you in any way, merely posted a warning that certain types of behaviour is unacceptable. It would be discourteous indeed not to let people know when their edits are against Wikipedia policies, and since you are clearly not stupid, it would be condescending to assume that you haven't read the information you remove from your talk page. I never claimed that you would be blocked for one edit, and so we are thankfully in agreement. Thank you, and happy editing. --bonadea contributions talk 15:36, 2 October 2014 (UTC)

References: http://movies.cinema65.com/2014/02/baahubali-motion-print-rev-eye.html So, I am going to put back the information at that page. I agree with you if you delete the context or sending alerts if there has not a proper or promoting info but if there has proper reference even it could be nice to delete the things. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sinaamasa (talk • contribs) 08:36, 11 October 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I notice the Eskimo article is frequently being vandalized by the same person which then enters an edit war with the reverting editor. Unfortunately Wikipedia notifies an editor when one of their edits has been reverted or undone. What we may find to be our best method of combating this is to manually removing the offending material so the vandal will not get notified that his vandalism has been removed and slowing down his response, until we can get him banned for sockpuppetry and Vandal only account.- McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 13:57, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, that's an excellent point. I'll do that. --bonadea contributions talk 16:23, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
hello. Please don't change it again. This is the correct information. I am Abigail Thaw! And if you look on any other information you will see my birth date. (Also Nigel and I are not married!) I feel old enough as it is without having 7 months knocked off! I haven't changed other stuff because it's too complicated but thought I'd get the basics right.
Kind regards Abigail

Benalmadena Puerto Marina link
Hi there
I am new to Wikipedia but have udpated a dead link that was pointing to Benalmadena Puerrto Marina with a current upto date and factual correct article. If you can point out whether its the link or my syntax is the issue that would be great help to me to correct for future reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Unclebobim (talk • contribs) 21:47, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
Copyright status of work by the U.S. government
I notice you have been edit-warring on Social Security Advisory Board (SSAB), claiming that http://www.ssab.gov/ is subject to copyright. That website, however, appears to be a work of the United States national government. As such it is not subject to copyright. See Copyright status of work by the U.S. government for discussion of the law. —teb728 t c 20:55, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for this generous display of AGF. I was not aware of the special rules for US government websites - I appreciate your pointing it out, but please do not accuse me of vandalism again.
- As pointed out repeatedly to the SPAs editing the article, the copyright issue is not the most important problem; the article is purely promotional, and the accounts have been reverting the attempts to make it more NPOV. Since there is no neutral version it should be speedy deleted as spam. --bonadea contributions talk 21:18, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
- When and where did I accuse you of vandalism? —teb728 t c 21:29, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
- I see you have switched to G11. I agree that the article is too promotional, but it doesn’t satisfy G11: “Pages that are exclusively promotional, and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to become encyclopedic.” Promotional content could be pruned to leave a neutral article. Indeed in this early version an admin declined G11. I cut the board bios, which makes it much less promotional to my eye. —teb728 t c 23:15, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
