Taxoboxes

edit

Hi, getting taxoboxes right isn't straightforward when you begin editing. Have a look at Rhomphaiodon now I've fixed the taxobox. Some points in using {{Automatic taxobox}}:

  • |name= is only needed when the title of the article isn't the taxon (e.g. it's a vernacular name)
  • |taxon= should always be present to specify the target of the taxobox
  • {{Italic title}} is supplied automatically when the taxobox is set up correctly.

I'm happy to try to answer any questions you may have – leave a message at my talk page. Peter coxhead (talk) 21:18, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detectedthat when you recently edited Leptopleuron, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Elgin. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello, I'm ThaddeusSholto. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Hartshill Castle, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 15:05, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Frank Rothwell (businessman) article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 19:32, 5 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Ezri Konsa, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 20:24, 23 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Football infobox live update

edit

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. Please only update statistics within the infobox of a footballer once the match the player was involved in has concluded. This is to help avoid the stats being updated again by another editor once the match has finished, and to avoid having to undo the update in the eventuality that the match is abandoned.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 20:25, 23 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Micronesia Football Federation Tournament

edit

Hi

You recently edited several Oceania national football teams' articles to reference a tournament called the "Micronesia Football Federation Tournament". I was unable to find any sources confirming the existence of such a tournament, so could you please provide an appropriate source, otherwise the changes will be reverted.

Please give sources to fossil date discoveries

edit

I noticed that you (and some IPs that may be you) regularly add the dates a fossil animal was first discovered before being formally named. Most of the time, they do not have sources. Please give sources so that people know that they weren’t just made up (and please make sure to represent the information from sources correctly) 49.144.202.68 (talk) 10:17, 31 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Eretmosaurus

edit

Hello Harold9595959, on this article we can read two papers :

  • David S. Brown and Nathalie Bardet (1994). Plesiosaurus rugosus Owen, 1840 (currently Eretmosaurus rugosus, Reptilia, Plesiosauria) proposed designation of a neotype. Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature 51(3);
  • David S. Bown and Nathalie Bardet (1996). Plesiosaurus rugosus Owen, 1840 (currently Eretmosaurus rugosus, Reptilia, Plesiosauria) neotype designated. Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature 51(3)

If we read correctly these two ones was publisched on Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature 51(3) but the first one is on 1994 and the second one is on 1996 - so there is an error (in fact the first one is correct, but I can't found the second one on the Internet). Maybe you will have an idea. Thanks a lot in advance. Givet (talk) 06:42, 18 October 2024 (UTC) French wikipedia contributorReply

I think the 1994 source is suggesting a neotype and the 1996 source might be confirming the designation of said neotype. Harold9595959 (talk) 13:10, 23 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
OK but they can't be on the same "Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature 51(3). An idea? Givet (talk) 06:41, 7 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Alan Cooling moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Alan Cooling. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and one of the two sources is dead. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Hitro talk 11:53, 31 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
