Speedy deletion
editI'm asking you to have another read of the criteria for speedy deletion. You have tagged two articles George Sadowsky and Daniele Simoncelli as being spam and neither is in the least promotional. I've removed the tags. Peridon (talk) 13:40, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
Hi, Thanks. I'll give them a review. Cheers

editWelcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Your use of the page curation tools leads me to conclude that you lack WP:COMPETENCY right now. This wanring is the start of a set of warnings which will result in a block if you continue. Your editing is becoming disruptive. People have to clean up after you. Notability criteria
editI just removed the speedy deletion tag from Jamie Waller. Waller has played games in the NBA, which very clearly meets WP:NBASKETBALL. The article is not well written, but please do a little good faith basic research before proposing deletion of articles. Thanks. Rikster2 (talk) 13:48, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
Hi Pakithedjay. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for Strictly Come Dancing (series 11), a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers and review the criteria for speedy deletion. Particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion or proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. Dlohcierekim 13:53, 25 August 2013 (UTC)

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. Fiddle Faddle 14:03, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
Please help me to learn Page Curation Skills
editThis help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
First, read WP:CSD. Then look at CAT:CSD. Look at the articles listed there, then read the WP:CSD bit that applies. Then see what happens to the article later. You can use the 'Watch' button to add them to your watchlist, and check up later. Ask administrators why they did things if they did something that wasn't what you expected. That's a start. There's a lot of learning to do. Our main patrollers have a lot of experience in many fields, and they mostly know when to leave alone. Someone else who does know will see it and deal with it. Don't do any tagging for a while. Then just do one or two and see what happens. That's how I ended up as an administrator... I'm still learning, too. Peridon (talk) 14:23, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
until you have been given the help you ask for. Please cease New page Patrol, Page SCuration and other tagging. Asking for help is not the magic bullet. Being given and accepting the help is. I am about to issue a further formal warning because you have not stopped. Fiddle Faddle 14:23, 25 August 2013 (UTC)

Hello Pakithedjay!
editThanks Pakithedjay, for reviewing Group For Buddies article, may I know in article what thing looks like a promotional? Please review article again. WikiLion1 (talk) 14:13, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
Reply Soon! Thanks WikiLion1 (talk) 15:57, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
I think you need to stop tagging for CSD. I think you should carefully review the criteria. Then go and read established articles that are not tagged and not tag them. I think you should work on improving and not deleting articles.
To the matter at hand:
- A7 does not apply to films.
- G1 it is not nonsense'
- A3 there is sufficient context to not only identify the subject, but to go looking more info if there is any.
- A9 applies to albums where the artist has no article. This is a film. Even if it were an album, we have an article on Snowy Baker.
- G11 it is not promotional. It is a bare-boned stub. Dlohcierekim 14:18, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks I have stopped Tagging. Reading More Rules Before tagging pages. Thanks Jay 14:20, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
- Please sign things with four ~ things. Or, on the pale bar at the top of an edit window (the one that starts A A) there's a pencil writing an f. Click that and it signs for you. Like this: --Peridon (talk) 14:28, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
Delete delete delete
editHi there. I just noticed that you're going around tagging lots of articles for speedy deletions. I think that you're being a little hasty with some of them. Also, regarding references, please make sure that you are tagging articles correctly - your edit to William Cantelo is an example of incorrect assertions. violet/riga [talk] 14:23, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. You absolutely MUST stop tagging articles until you have received help and put that help into action. This is not negotiable. Continuing will get you blocked from editing. Fiddle Faddle 14:24, 25 August 2013 (UTC)

Band - Samuel Purdey
editHello there,
Thank you for taking the time consider my recent submission for the band Samuel Purdey - which is here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Rolluprob/Samuel_Purdey
I realise the page needs some work before it can be submitted again. However, I wonder if you could advise me on this. From what I have read before re. "notability" for a band, some of the criteria for this is probably met - several recent reviews in Q, Mojo, UNCUT and the Independent newspaper and also an album release on Tummy Touch records who are a well regarded independent label in London and New York.
Is it just a matter of using citations better to reference this - or is notability still in question? I mean, if it's the latter - then maybe there isn't really any point in pursuing this further for the moment.
Many thanks.
Rolluprob (talk) 20:08, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) In my humble opinion your article shouldn't have been rejected. I believe Samuel Purdey meets WP:BAND. Just. More and better inline sourcing is a good idea, though. See WP:INCITE for more info on that. Cheers, Yintan 22:05, 25 August 2013 (UTC)

Wiki article - submission denied
editHi Jay, I am seeking your help withn regard to my denied wiki article. In its creation, I followed the style I found in other wiki pages for Venezuelan writers. In such articles, the bio and info is minimal, and the emphasis seems to be on the publications, which should include the ISBN. My article also included over twenty verifiable external references. This is the published author of six books and five translations of American poets, and an important reference in her country, as the other aforesaid Venezuelan poets. What could be done to edit or change the article to increase its chance of approval? Thank you so much for your patience and help.--Alakri 04:53, 26 August 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alakri (talk • contribs)
- Hello Alakri, Article was denied because of the Writing Style,It was more like the public advertisement of the writer. I have already requested you to write a little bit more about the work of your writer. Once you are done adding more about his WORK please feel free to "RESUBMIT" for approval or notify me for a review. Thanks. --Jay 08:36, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Bokos page - Unreliable sources?
editHello, you recently turned down my submission for a page called Bokos. You noted that the sources I used were not reliable. I used several newspapers as sources, both of which are some of the most widely read newspapers in the Midwest. I also used Footwear News, which is the largest publication in the industry. Could you recommend how I can change my sources to make them more reliable? Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amandaelfering (talk • contribs) 16:22, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Important note
editPlease do not resume editing until you respond to my question here. Thank you, --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:10, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
- It's unfortunate that you would outright deny your relationship to the Khalibali account as it is very obvious from both a technical and behavioural standpoint that you are, at the very least related, and at worst the same individual. Regardless, your use of these accounts are contrary to Wikipedia policy regarding the use of multiple accounts. I have blocked the Kalibali account indefinitely and your account for 1 week. When you return please ensure you use only one account and I would strongly suggest you seek a mentor to assist with your editing.--Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 21:06, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
- You should have blocked me indefinitely instead of him. As far as i know wikipedia it allows multiple accounts then why are you asking me to use one when i allowed to use more than one? Thanks. --Jay (Lets Talk) 21:13, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
- Your case does not fall under any of the legitimate uses of multiple accounts listed at WP:SOCK#LEGIT. Your claim to not have any connection to the Khalibali account is untrue, the two accounts are inextricably linked both behaviourally and technically. To reiterate, you should really read through all of the feedback you have received here and decide how it is you want to contribute to Wikipedia when your block expires, then request a mentor to assist you when you return. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 21:25, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

Ways to improve IDonate Pakistan
editHi, I'm Michael.davies1. Pakithedjay, thanks for creating IDonate Pakistan!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please Add More References For Notability.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Mike 21:06, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
The article IDonate has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Lack of notability as evidenced by lack of a top-10 hit in Google and insufficient support of notability in this article as of 16:06, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:09, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
AFC
editThank you for your interest in the iDonate Pakistan article and doing what is needed it prove that it meets Wikipedia's notability criteria.
However, I have been doing AFC work on and off for several years and many of those reading the AFC talk pages recognize this (I've even earned an award for my AFC work a few years ago). I will admit that I'm not perfect - the fact that I didn't look at www.google.com.pk before proposing that page for deletion and the fact that I posted my request for other AFC reviewers to help regarding notability of the iTalk page on the "Reviewer Help" page rather than the main AFC talk page is evidence of that. There may also be times when I'm editing in a way that is consistent with older versions of Wikipedia policies and guidelines but am inconsistent with the current versions.
It may be more helpful for both of us if you would point out areas where my editing is inconsistent with current Wikipedia norms on my talk page rather than on "Wikipedia talk" pages. I'm always looking to improve. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 17:29, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
Stubs
editFor more on stub pages, see Wikipedia:Stub. In general, to learn more about any Wikipedia administration topic, type that topic name into Wikipedia's "search" tool, click "Search," then click "Help and project pages" in the grey area near the top. This will limit your search to pages that are related to administration or help (including all pages that start off with Wikipedia: or Help: and their respective talk pages), skipping articles and other pages. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:29, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
