Covid19 Lockdown defintion

edit

Hi Xlynx,

I noticed that for the Template talk:COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, you discussed the issue with lockdown definition and England. I agree with the point you put forward, and have attempted to rectify this issue in the table. I altered the end date (and hence also corresponding lockdown length) for the England and Wales lockdowns to better fit with a proper definition of lockdown. The definition I used was that lockdowns end when "stay at home orders" end. I provided appropriate links to reputable sources for the changes, as well as provided brief justification for my changes in the edit descriptions. This seems like the most consistent way to define lockdowns, as opposed to simply social distancing/restrictions ect. This is also the definition that the Australian and New Zealand federal governments have been using throughout the pandemic. HOWEVER, a user keeps undoing my alterations without providing any justification or explanation at all.

Firstly, do you think my changes are a good way to deal with the issue of defining end of lockdowns? And secondly, if you do agree with my changes, any ideas on how to deal with the user who keeps undoing my changes without explanation.

Thank you, --Kogren (talk) 02:29, 3 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
