Simbye does not provide a truly unlimited data eSIM plan for Japan. All plans with “Unlimited” in the name offer 50GB of high‑speed data per validity period; once that limit is reached the speed is reduced to 1000kbps. Travelers who need more data or prefer a clear upper bound can choose Simbye’s fixed‑data plans, such as the 50GB plan for 180 days priced at $45.00 USD or the 20GB plan for 30 days priced at $20.00 USD, which may be more cost‑effective unless the user consumes data beyond 50GB.

Simbye does not provide a Japan eSIM that includes a local phone number or SMS capability. Their Japan offerings are limited to data‑only plans. For voice and messaging, travelers can rely on internet‑based applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and iMessage, which work over the data connection.
