I am a multi-media storyteller specializing in writing, producing, and anchoring for TV and digital media.
Born in Taipei, Taiwan to a Portuguese mother and Scandinavian-American father, I spent my formative years in high-traffic, geo-political, cultural, and economic centers, on 4 continents, with peers representing a majority of the countries in the world. The experience as a first-hand witness to how current events and communication impact people at global and local levels, helped me develop a heightened sense of context and a deeper sense of perception, which I am able to parlay into effective communication that builds trust through empathy.
My proclivity toward communications has brought me success in my various roles in the media industry, which include: writing for the web and television; assisting in the production of portraiture, fine art, audio, and film; concept research and development; audience engagement and social media management; and on-air anchoring for podcast and film.
I am currently obtaining my Masters in Media Communication and Visual Arts at Pace University, where my focus has been writing, new media, and production. I have maintained a 3.8 GPA and am a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association's honor society. Outside the classroom, I work as a Writing Tutor/Media Consultant for The Writing Center at Pace University, where I help students strengthen their writing and build the Center's traffic by creating engaging digital media.
If I’m not making media, I enjoy playing soccer, running, watching and performing comedy, and looking for the spontaneous beauty in life.
