Beautiful apple pie

When you were a child, you must have often heard reprimands urging you to stop playing with the food. Nonetheless, now food is a very potent art tool and medium and that's pretty evident on various social media channels where people share their incredible works that are not just beautiful to look at but are edible as well. Such is the case of Jessica Leigh Clark-Bojin, who combines her artistic talent with a strong adherence to the American tradition of sweet pies.

*This recipe makes a very large apple pie that should be baked in a deep dish pie pan. This pie will also bake longer than a normal sized pie as the filling is uncooked when it goes in to the oven and the overall size of the pie will require a long bake time. As long as you keep the top covered with tin foil for most of the baking time, the crust will not overcook.
