colonial knot. Bring your needle up through the fabric
and hold the thread downwards. Take your needle over to the
left of your thread and slide it underneath. So you're going
from left to right over the top of the needle and right to left
underneath the needle. Then we're going to take our thread
to the top of the needle and go from left to right over the
top. Right to left underneath. So you will be left with this
figure eight. Shape. Can you see it? So we're going to hold
our working thread on the left there. Pull it taut. Not too
