This post is dedicated to Jane Austen who died this day 200 years ago. I hadn't realised, but as well as completing the original versions of Pride and Prejudice, Northanger Abbey and Sense and Sensibility by age 23, she was only revealed as the author of her books posthumously, and her name didn't appear on any of them during her lifetime. Doesn't that seem unbelievable given her status now?
