Lapsang Souchong, Pineapple, honey, lime, cream of coconut

This spiritfree cocktail by Chris Amirault @chrisamiam is a smoky pina colada. Lapsang Souchong is the base here, which provides a smoky backbone to the tropical notes of the pina colada. I’ve been trying to use lapsang more often in my R&D as a main flavoring rather than supporting character and after drinking this, im now inspired to use this in other tropical cocktails. 

Recipe taken from Imbibe @imbibe 

3 oz. cold-brewed lapsang souchong tea
1 oz. pineapple juice
1/2 oz. honey syrup (3:1)
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. coconut cream

Shake all of the ingredients with ice, strain into a glass over a large ice cube, then garnish with lapsang tea powder and pineapple leaf
