Having a pool in the backyard is fantastic but wet grandkids running through the house to use the bathroom, not so great. With a full renovation to the exterior of there home, they added a pool house. The space has plenty of room for the kids to change, store their pool toys and most importantly a private area for the toilet. Charcoal-gray concrete floors contrast crisply with an otherwise bright white bathroom. The barn-style sconce over the sink is meant for exterior use (similar lights brighten the outside of the house), but the homeowner loved the look for this bathroom, which straddles indoors and out. The door leads to the swimming pool so visitors can change clothes or use the facilities without tracking wet footprints through the house.

Never ever should carpet be used in a bathroom. Especially if that bathroom is your poolhouse bathroom. We did a lot of work in this bathroom to make it light, bright and most importantly - functional.
