Did you know the way in which glazes are applied to pottery is super important? This wheel thrown bottle-shaped vase should have been a light grey/blue colour, but is instead dark grey with light speckles. No less lovely, but much different to what I envisaged - and it’s all down to the application of the glaze on the piece!

Handmade ring vase. Wheel thrown as a hollow form, and glazed by me using lead free, non-toxic glazes. The bottom half of this vase is left unglazed on the outside to show the speckled brown clay which forms a nice contrast with the white glaze. Inside is fully glazed and it can hold water.
