Did you know: in the United States, the average person produces about 82 pounds of textile waste, contributing to the 11 million tons of textile waste produced every year in the country. . . . So what does this mean? Essentially it means we are treating our closets like they have revolving doors. We cycle in the new, and dispose of the old without ever considering where it might go next. . . . In other words, the world is running out of space for your waste.

Over-consumption is at the root of the planet’s #environmental crisis. Consumption of fast fashion, flights, Black Friday-discounted gadgets – has become the primary driver of ecological crisis. We are devouring the planet’s resources at a rate 1.8 (2023) times faster than it can regenerate. When people buy less stuff, you get immediate drops in emissions, resource consumption and #pollution. That doesn’t just mean fewer physical things; it’s also less electricity, travel and eating out. 💥
