Fascinating! I’m thankful for my younger son 📚who wants to know something about everything! While I was writing he texted me a seemingly random fact. Him: Apparently the early Israelites even till the Davidian period used the kopesh. Me: looks up the khopesh. It is shaped like a sickle. Could the “sword of Gideon” been in the symbolic shape of a sickle?? Woah. Just saying. PERHAPS this is why God allowed this seeming small ode to Gideon be recorded. Maybe the sword mattered.
