E³UDRES² Bootcamps

A week of meeting new people, working with regional organisations and exploring European regions

The E³UDRES² Bootcamps bring together students from different countries, disciplines, and backgrounds to deep-dive into a real-life problem submitted by a regional organisation. In diverse teams, you spend an intensive week somewhere in a E³UDRES² country, understanding different viewpoints and transforming ideas into practical solutions along the way. Through collaboration, experimentation, and continuous feedback, you experience how creativity and teamwork can lead to meaningful results.

While solving the challenge, you also grow as a person: Participating in a Bootcamp will sharpen your time management and organization skills, allow you to get out of your bubble, have a short international experience and also teach you how to focus on the essentials in a project. This experience encourages you to leave your comfort zone, connect with people from other cultures, and gain an international perspective in a short but impactful format.

Take on a challenge - together

During a E³UDRES² Bootcamp, you meet people from other E³UDRES² institutions and beyond. Together, you work on solving a local challenge provided by a regional business or organisation. Next to the working time, we also offer a social programme like Yoga sessions, hikes, city tours, barbecues and more, always depending on the theme of the Bootcamp and available faciliities.

Depending on the Bootcamp, recognition such as ECTS, certificates or digital badges are available for participants. You'll know which forms of recognition are offered by a Bootcamp when applying for an upcoming edition.

Frequently asked questions

Participation in a E³UDRES² Bootcamp is completely free of charge.

Regarding the costs for the travel to the event as well as the accomodation, financial support may be available to you depending on institutional policies of your home university. Reach out to your local contacts here to learn more about the regulations of your institution.

This depends on the organizing team of the Bootcamp you are applying for. Different leisure activites may require different items - like activewear for example, if you want to join a yoga session. You'll be informed about what to take with you by the organizing team up front.

Generally, your passport, toiletry bag and enough clothing for the duration of the event are a good start :)

No. The Bootcamp teams working on the challenges will either be directly assembled by the organizational team after the application deadline is over, or this is done on-site at the start of the event.

Note that we are not able to accomodate any wishes regarding team composition - E³UDRES² events are about meeting new people and collaborating with other students from different countries and institutions. These mixed teams, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds, are a core element of our activities!

No, we must make a selection of participants for every Bootcamp as there are only limited spaces per institution available. As soon as you send your application, you are in the pool of possible participants. The E³UDRES² team of your home institution will reach out to you to inform you about further steps regarding your application via e-mail. Every student who applied will of course be notified whether they have been accepted or declined for the event.

Generally, participants are required to organize the travel to the event independently. Regarding accommodation, a joint accomodation option may be organized depending on the host institution of the Bootcamp you are applying for. You will be informed about accommodation options up front.

🌱 Wherever possible, we encourage you to use climate-friendly means of transport when travelling to E³UDRES² events, like using trains, buses or car-sharing.

On a typical Bootcamp day, after an introductory programme, the assembled teams meet around 09:00 am to work on their challenge at the location. Next to their time discussing possible solutions and working on a draft concept, the programme is enhanced for example by expert inputs, "meet the challenger" sessions, city tours, shared dinners, sport offers and more. Over the course of the week, the participating teams continue to refine their solution to the challenge together with our Educational Entrepreneurs, our mentors, directly on-site. On the last day of the Bootcamp, all teams present their solutions.

With the Bootcamps being organized by different E³UDRES² institutions every year, also the programme and experience you get in each Bootcamp is one of a kind!
