Bioprocess Research Centre

The Bioprocess Research Centre at the Faculty of Chemical Technology, Kaunas University of Technology, conducts research in the field of bioprocesses.

The Bioprocess Research Centre (BRC) focuses on the application of genetic engineering technologies and development of novel biocatalytic processes, which will enable to improve the microorganism-based production and conversion of waste streams into value-added products.

The research activities of BRC align closely with the multidisciplinary areas of synthetic biology, biotechnology, bioeconomy, and sustainable innovation. Currently, the research is supported by the European Regional Development Fund under grant agreement with the Research Council of Lithuania.
