~Some of my Favorite Things~

These are a Few of My Favorite Things!
I have Really Fallen in Love with
Hand Carved Mother of Pearl Buttons.

Last Weekend I went to a
Local Flea Market and Found
all of these Lovely Rhinestone Pieces.
I Love to Visit with the Vendors
to Find out the Back Ground
of my Purchases.
These Pieces came from a Woman Who Adored Jewelry!
Well What Woman Doesn't... But this Woman! Wow!
Her Dear Husband Loved Buying it for Her!
Her Collection was not only Extensive but Beautiful!
She Had Passed some Years ago
and her Dear Husband Couldn't Let Go of her Things.
He Passed Recently
and Now the  Family was doing their
Best with taking Care of the Estate.
It was Nice to Visit with Them
and it Sounded Like their
Parents Adored Each Other!
I Just Love That.

The Junkin Gypsies
Took a Trip up to a Little Town  named Corvallis,
Just to North of Us.
Lemay wanted  me to see a Little Used Book Store
that she has been Frequenting for Many Years.
This Place was PACKED with Used and Antique Books!
She said" OK! You have an 50 Minutes!"
"What! Thats Not Enough Time! Your Kidding!"
She wasn't...
She Told Me that there is
Never Enough Time in this Store!
She was Right!
I did Find this Godey's Ladies Book!
Happy Dance!
It is So Amazing to Read and Hold in your hands
something that was Written and Published  159 years old!
Charming and Sweet is what comes to mind
when you Peruse through but...
Baby we Have Come a Long Way!!!Lol

~Studio Inspiration~

I Love the Garden Feel of this Studio.
This Studio is out of a Country Living Magazine .
Isn't Her Work Lovely! I Love that she Surrounds herself
with her own work for Inspiration.

I Love the Vintage  Boxes and the Labeling.
The Idea of a Caddy Like this is so Clever!
You can take it and go any where!

This Butlers Pantry is Great!
I Love combining your supplies into your Display!
I am sure that Luggage Tags
are something you have all seen before!  I Found these in the Dollar bins
at our Local Michaels.
That is where I got the Luggage Boxes.
( 50% off! I Love Sales!)
This is a Little thing I came up with after Perusing the Local Thrift Stores. I kept seeing these Lovely Silver Pedestals for Chafing Dishes. They were Lonely Petunias with no Chafing Dishes to be seen. I am always Thinking Hmmmm... What Can I Make with this.

Well then I came across this Silver Relish tray with the Glass still in tact. Don't worry it wasn't the Prized Family Silver
just an Inexpensive Silver Type Relish Tray ! Lol!

The How-to of it is really Easy! Just flipped the Tray over,
Center the Pedestal and used some
E-6000 Glue to adhere the Pedestal to  the Tray.
Let Glue have time to set.
Thats It! Easy Peasey!
Elevating my Collection of Bling gave me
more Space in my Tiny Little Studio.
I Find Inspiration in seeing what I have to Work with.!
This was another Thrift Store Find!
~*~
Hope you enjoyed some of my Studio Storage Display Ideas!

~The Junkin Gypsies Day Out~

This Week  My "Junkin Gypsies" in Crime,
(AKA:Lemay and my Oldest Girl Lauren )
had a Great time Visiting some of
our Favorite Antique & Thrift Store!
We Found some Wonderful Things!
What More could a Girl ask For?!
Rhinestone Bling and Lace!
Well Maybe Chocolate... With Nuts..
 Buttons!!! I Love Buttons!
They are Like Treasure to Me!
The Mother of Pearl Buttons
are from Etsy.
 Love at First Sight!
This Piece of Lace is so Beautiful and Delicate.
I Could Not Help Myself!
I wish they Made Books Like they did Back When...
These are Like little Works of Art!
There is something about the Smell of Books that I just Love .
These Spectacles Reminded me of
the ones  my Grandmother, Mabel Had.
She Was Mabel Iva Bertina Ellingson. She was a Sturdy Norwegian Woman with quite a Business Mind for Her time.
After my Grandfather Died, She Ran a Little Movie Theater
in the Small town of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota.
On Saturday Nights, Blooming Prairie was Hoping!
As Much as Blooming Prairie could Hop!
All of the Farming Families would come into town and
pay a Nickel to watch a Movie. That is actually Where my Parents Met.
My Mother Sold Tickets at the Theater and my Dad Ran the Projector.
(PS;The Picture Below is not My Grandmother just in Case you were Wondering)
Lauren Found this Cabinet Card at One of the Stores we went to!
I am fondly Call her Beatrice of Nebraska.
(Only Because its on the Front of the card)
Lauren was so Excited!
She said "Put a Hat on her Mom and
she would make a Wonderful Witch!
Look she even has a Big Wart on her Chin!"
(I really Hope that Beatrice is Not a Relation to any one of you!
If She is.. Please Know that there was No Disrespect intended!)
 More Lace Love!
I am Very Happy to Report that Santa was Very Kind to me this Christmas. He gave me a New Camera which I am Very Grateful for! It is so Wonderful to take Pictures that are actually in Focus!
~*~ Happy Dance!!!!~*~
It was a Great Day with my Junkin Gypsies!
I have to tell you that I learned a Lot from Lemay! She has been a Collector of Antiques since she was a Girl. That is When she started Collecting Hand carved Mother of Pearl Pins. Have a Peek at How Beautiful they are!
