These are scraps left from Under the Big Top that I made last summer for a great nephew. This is a charity quilt and I also have learned a neat way to sew the binding on entirely by machine. Working on quilts for 2024. Most quilts will go to Wrap-A-Smile though a few will go to Quilts of Valor & most will go to Wrap-A-Smile. I was away for several months this year so my production has been down. Several of my quilting friends in the Sunshine Online Quilting guild are making 44 quilts for 2024. It's now October 25 so I am thinking I'll not have that many quilts for this year but heck, I'll try to get as many done as possible. Back of prior quilt

Sample #3 is in the block construction process. Like the ones shown in my previous post (scroll down), it uses strips that we can die cut from the club's very random stash and kit up. Some of the strips in the previous quilts were cut 2-1/2" by 10-1/2". Usually we can get four pieces from a WOF strip, but sometimes only three, leaving a too-short piece that I hate to waste. I'm making 52 quilts in 2018 for Jack's Basket, where babies with Down syndrome are celebrated. I went through my calendar and numbered all 52 of the Saturdays in 2018. I've been on a roll with the charity quilts this year. It's a great way to practice quilting or try out new things. Here are the two I finished this week. The first one is a more girly quilt.
