The wounded book

We kicked off the summer cheering on my Daughter Lauren and my Sister Stacey in the Missoula Half Marathon! Description The Seafarer's Sword is an extension of my Book of Earendil. Inspired by the adventures of a seafarer, this mixed media handbound journal is an assemblage of all things new and old. As such, it is one of a kind and cannot be fully replicated. The covers are a combination of paint, patina agent, brass and metal ornaments, clay and miniature sword. The grimoire is made from a vintage book, altared by removing pages and gluing some together to make them stronger. The cover is modge podged tissue paper, painted and then air dry clay fashioned into mushrooms and the other bits. I glued them on then painted them. The crystals were added with jewelry glue. It’s still a work in progress.
