Lyndsay Meiklem Dean Ⓥ on Instagram: "Screen printing is a fun way to transfer graphics, logos and other detailed imagery directly onto clay. I’m beginning to experiment with creating my own screens thanks to supplies from @smalldogprints but in the meantime I’m playing with a few small screens they sent me to try out. These screens are super flexible and with a touch of @maycocolors screen printing medium added to my @speedball_ceramics underglaze they performed really well without the need for washing in between prints which made it super easy to achieve an all over pattern on a larger piece of clay. I’m excited to begin playing with printing my own screens as I begin a few projects near and dear to my vegan animal rights heart so stay tuned!!!! . . . . #screenprintingonclay #printingon Ceramic Screen Printing, Screen Printing On Ceramics, Clay Transfer Paper, Silk Screen Printing Art, Screen Printing Ceramics, Screen Printing Ideas, Silk Screen Printing Design, Underglaze Designs, Surface Decorations

Shawna Pincus on Instagram: "Happy Tuesday!! I wanted to share how I’ve been making my underglaze transfer papers lately. I am using my normal set up of my @gelliarts printing plate, thickened @amacobrent velvet black underglaze and my screen that I made using @ezscreenprint screens. I am printing on blank paper from @sanbaostudio which I have found to be the best transfer paper. I like using my gelli plate to print on because the surface holds the delicate rice paper in place assuring that it doesn’t get wrinkled or tear while I’m printing. I cut the rice paper a little smaller then my screen so the gel plate helps hold that in place too. I thicken my underglaze just by leaving it out to dry but you could also use the silkscreen medium by Mayco if you didn’t want to wait for that.
