Hey I may not have described the pre firmware update post update correctly .. I do have the app on my phone but with the new firmware you can launch the native Tidal app through CA Connect and it looks and operates as such. In both scenarios you tap the speaker and are given options of devices to stream. Where I am…

My Crown and Buckle premiums have held up well with no fraying or failure.
-
You might have a problem 🤣 GLWTS
-
Great deal on this integrated. What do you have your eye on next?
-
Great analogy!
-
No worries, feel free to disagree I am 4 years or so in the rabbit hole and still getting my learn on. I understand the importance of the first watt but if it's the same manufacture and series only a step down in power from 220 to 150 wouldn't that 1st watt be the same?
-
Ok, that makes feel better :)

I don’t think there is any fault with the design or implementation of the gain structure but honestly don’t know much about that. I’m more second guessing how much power I thought I needed. It’s a wonderful piece but I probably could have been just as satisfied with the M5 which has a bit less power and less coin.
-
Appreciate all the recommendations, was leaning towards the Fluance but ended up with the AT. I think she will love it.
-
Really cool unit. Does the processor loop act as ht bypass?
-
those wood platters of the AT and Fluance look pretty cool
-
These all sound like viable options. Any downside to belt vs direct drive?
-
Yes it is. I assume it’s no big deal?
-
Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like my integrated becoming audible at 8:00 isn’t necessarily out of the norm.
-
Mine has no numeric markings just using a clock dial for a point of reference.
-
That’s definitely another level or 3 up from mine, I can’t even imagine.

Man I love this amp. Channel separation, huge sound stage, rhythmically spot on, detailed without being sterile, solid bass but not boomy, and just musical. It has so much power that I have barely got the volume to 10 o’clock. I could have probably got the M5Si for less coin and power but it’s nice to know it’s there.…

Yes, I was very slow to move on this purchase. It was definitely worth the wait. I think I am done.
-
Well 8 months later I finally did it. I received my M6Si today. This is one hefty integrated, built like a tank. So far only a couple hours of listening and I am very impressed. Not going into details at this time but I am very happy.

I may have not been very clear but I was suggesting keep the P5 and adding the Cambridge 851N as your digital front end, connecting to the P5, as I think the DAC would equal if not best the P6 DAC. It has digital inputs galore and a great streamer. I am not sure how it would work with a portable HD.
-
I have enjoyed a pair for a few years now and they do a great job for music as well at HT. Easy to drive and a very solid performer for the price.
-
Great Karma. I’m in with 52
-
Thanks for all the responses and pics.
-
Nice review, that’s a beast of an amp. Congrats.
-
If you don’t have a dedicated streamer and or DAC for the price of the P6 upgrade I would consider keeping the P5 and getting a CA 851N or CXN v2. Great streamers with plenty of digital inputs that you connect all your digital sources to. I think the major improvement of the P6 is improved DAC and volume control?
-
Thanks all this makes me feel good about ordering a piece that doesn’t have them.
-
Thank you. You running balanced ICs and if so have any issues with them being close to the speaker terminals? Meaning enough room?
-
Well I have been hunkered down working and paused on buying audio gear but the obsession is getting the best of me. I am close to trading my Parasound P5 and A23 towards the M6Si. @Ricardo are you loving yours?

Pangea makes some nice stands as well https://www.pangeaaudio.com/furniture/speaker-stands
