So I am hearing external DAC which I imagine would be beneficial but that’s another box and upgrading the power supply? As well as thumbs up on the Lumin and Eversolo. Considering ditching the AVR as well and doing 2-channel for tv and movies.

Thanks for the compliment on the floors. They actually are tile planks. Not great for acoustics but easy to maintain. I really like the KLHs, had them for a couple of months and they just get better. Tight bass and warm mids. Top end is a little sparkly but you can adjust with a control in the back.

Yeah the mids are sweet, I am 30 hours in or so and I have struggled a little with imaging , there are moments that I am super impressed. As far as the highs have you tried the attenuator on the back. Should be interesting to see how these break in. I have high hopes.

I am a week in a pair as well, and still unsure. Some sessions I love them and others not so much. Curious about your thoughts after some time on them. I think the break in period is real with this one. I do like the tight bass and the retro vibe.

Those do look nice, I am in no hurry to get new speakers and will noodle on these. Tucson is about 7hrs away so that’s a bit of a haul.

Lot's of options and I am not in a hurry. Not sure about metal tweeters, I have never heard any. Want detail but not bright or fatiguing and no sloppy bass.

I use these for my 703s, made and priced well. Super solid mass loaded with sand. Stand and fill is around 50lbs.

Own the 703s in my home office 2-channel set up and they aren’t going anywhere any time soon. Have the Signature S60s in hybrid HT/2Channel rig and they have been outstanding, and I don’t plan on selling them but am looking to try something different.

Played a CD for the first time in months and it sounded so good I played it again.

I think AirPlay does do gapless but I have been using Tidal Connect with the new update. On a different note I have noticed on longer tracks it will drop or cutoff at 6 or 7 minutes. This didn’t happen with Tidal through StreamMagic but using the native Tidal app is so much better and I would think this bugs will be worked…

Got it there must have been a firmware upgrade issue on the phone app or phone issue. Regardless was able to upgrade...all set thanks.

I have the latest firmware and the 851 showing up as device to connect to but it doesn’t say Tidal connect. Perhaps the 851N doesn’t allow for Tidal Connect though the support site says it does. I opened a ticket with CA.
