He’s gone 🌹

The 801 is better, I got a great deal on 501 and with the Auralic Mini it’s fine for office duty with the 703s. There are certainly better options and the 703s were much livelier with my Parasound stack but that’s in the main system. Maybe the OP can give us his budget and we can help spend his money😀

I have the Yamaha A-S501 with the 703s in my home office and like it a lot and think it’s good bang for the buck. Many here have had Dayens and speak highly of the combo.

That’s what it’s all about. Welcome to forum.
-
Yeah I am definitely in, I’m stoked for you and your new speaks. Man I go backpacking for a week and lot has happened around here. Legends?
-
Haha. Yeah me too, but I recently got another toy and I am waiting for this new speaker line😀

The BlueSound Node and Cambridge streamers will streaming from your phone to the player.

Congrats on your recent purchases. Now that you will have them all you can decide on what sounds good to you and works well in your room. Don’t overthink it but do start looking for an amp.
-
Glad to hear the Reference 50 is working out for you.
-
You have a problem 🤣🤣🤣 Congrats Loren.

Analysis paralysis

I have certainly enjoyed mine and really like the ht bypass mode.

I don’t think anyone noted that the Aventage 870 doesn’t have preouts other than sub. You need to move up to the 10XX or beyond. Sorry I am wrong the 860 does not but 870 does.

Ah ha moment was adding and external amp to my AVR. Adding a dedicated pre was a defining moment; clarity, separation of instruments and a wider sound stage. A few months ago I had to send my pre back to replace the volume pot and went back to using the AVR as a pre. It really was noticeable and I was thrilled to get my…

Thanks man, we are so far away it’s okay just a trippy experience when plants inside your house are moving back and forth and you feel like your on a boat. No jolts or abrupt movements. I’m a transplant of 22 years and still accustomed to EQs.
-
Yeah you know it, it blows my mind. That’s the one stretch of the 5 that between 10 and 2 I expect to cruise at 80.

I am about 170 miles from the epicenter. This was a long slow rolling quake.
-
Agreed that’s good, I drive roughly 20K a year around here and I have seriously eyeballed empty water bottles in my car thinking of repurposing them while stuck in traffic.
-
As long as bad driving habits don’t come with the car. I swear here in SoCal every time someone cuts me off or pulls a jackass maneuver they are in a Prius.
-
I can’t believe this hasn’t sold yet.
-
Great price for a great little amp. Mine makes my 60s sing.
-
I have had both and hands down the Signature series for music.

Oh man.. I want those. I am trying to hold off for the newly released SDAs
