  Most ad blockers stopped working because YouTube changed how it serves ads it’s now embedding them directly in the video stream. There are still a few experimental blockers trying to catch up though.

  New island tab button is not dissapearing at 123.0.5669.23

  Open few tabs within an island.

  The mouse is staying over the highlighted tab (very important!).
  The new island tab button is visible, which is correct.

  Close the current tab. Then the focus moves to the last tab from the island.

  The focus remain on the current tab, highlighted in the picture. The new island tab button is visible, which is correct.

  Now close the last tab from the current island:

  The focus moves on another tab, from another tab island, or anywhere (highlighted in the picture).

  Here you can see the bug: the new island tab button is still visible, and remains as visible anywhere you move the mouse:

  I worked in browser, but the new island tab button is still visible, which is incorrect.

  The bug is very easy to reproduce (I guess I have been clear enough, if not, tell me).

  @Mlipka I used to use Opera a long time ago when they developed their own browser. Thought I would give it a try again since it is Chromium based. Saw right away that I could not remove search engines. Searched. Found this post.
  This and the fact that Opera wants to track everything I do is why I will be uninstalling. I know, cry me a river right? I'm also a 40 year tech professional. I am going to bad mouth this garbage browser every chance I get.

  Opera GX just doesn't have a setting for it. As for why Opera hasn't added the option in Opera GX, not sure. I could only guess.

  @unidownloader: Hello, its been nearly a week and I'd like a status update if possible? the download button still appears on YouTube shorts but does not function and on normal videos the download button is still entirely missing

  I'm using Opera for almost three and a half years, but I'm always tempted to change to another browser. Only to see that each of them has some flaw.

  But if you compare Opera to its competitors, you'll likely see that,

  Brave and Firefox have more privacy

  Edge has almost every feature that Opera has and some others more

  Vivaldi is way more customizable

  Edge's Copilot seems to be better integrated than Aria and often delivers better results

  Brave's and Chrome's interface is cleaner

  Opera's background isn't without some issues, doesn't make it the more David against Goliath type of company it once was

  If it were not for Chrome's extensive data collection, Edge's nagging into the MS eco-system, Vivaldi's sluggishness, Brave's shady bitcoin and right-wing libertarian background and Firefox's dwindling market share and compatibility issues, I'd easily choose one of those.

  If you were to convince me to stay with Opera for reasons that makes it stand out, what would you point to?

  No OTTPlayer on my Hitachi TV and no SS-IPTV either.
