Being from Southern California, I watched the whole thing, which wrapped up around almost midnight. My MacBook Pro and iPhone were practically dead by the 14th inning as I was glued to the game, so I had to charge everything when the 14th inning was over, including my Apple Watch for sleep tracking, and I even read my Harvesting Dreams novel during the commercial breaks for the rest of the innings, hoping one of the teams would finally score.
It was a nail-biter, and every time Ohtani was up to bat, he was walked. He was on deck about 9-10 times in the game. But as soon as I saw Freeman come up in the 18th inning, I knew he was going to end the game with a walk-off home run. Remember Freeman’s grand slam walk-off win in the last World Series?
