I noticed that sometimes, but not always, on the list of conversations screen, some contact photos appear as a square, and some as a circle.

This is how I saw them briefly. Then they went back to all being circles.

I always seem to have issues with Messages -> Clicking on a contact -> Photo grid disappearing. Right now in IOS 26 when I go to a contact within a message thread, I only see the option for Info and Backgrounds. From looking at videos, I should have a photo tab here. I've tried going into messages and doing the old siri / search toggle on off. Any other ideas?
 
Since iOS 26 my group messages with RCS and Apple users often splinters, especially when you try to name the group. I also notice messages in the cloud is not synching regularly, I have to manually enable on iPhone, iPad, Mac.

When I synch it does help but really the best solution so far is to delete the name of the group.

Bug, feature, fix?
