The answer is a question. Is it worth it to you? It's insurance. As such, Apple would not offer it if it was not profitable for them. However, if you encounter problems, it is certainly cheaper to pay for AppleCare than the full price of repairs or replacement. If that gives you peace of mind, then it's probably worth it for you. If the cost is a hardship, then you have to take solace in the fact that such catastrophic problems are rare.

I would say yes. I have found that The Apple and it’s Jobinators, have an extensive database of issues, glitches, bugs, defects, and malfunctions they can walk you through if any technical difficulties arise. Also, I’d imagine, your iPad cost you a pretty penny, it offers peace of mind as the Gregg squared mentioned, should any accidents occur.

I wanted to ask if AppleCare which I pay for my iPad 2024 £3-99 a month is it worth it ?
I have been asking the same question. I have a brand new MacBook that was damaged from a leak in my condo and it was denied because there was some debris on the laptop from ceiling plaster. We were told that Apple and Best Buy are denying coverage because the plaster was on the keyboard. In Apple's words..... the laptop has been contaminated by biologicals and therefore not covered. The damage was from the leaking water and not plaster. We ran it up the ladder and it was denied. A brand new laptop. Now, if it was stolen, it would have been covered. VERY disappointed! Been an Apple user since my MacPlus in '86 and a shareholder for that long too.
