From Oct 18-Nov 18 2024, a Sonic the Hedgehog pop-up café ran in Taipei City, Taiwan. The café’s menu featured meals, desserts, and drinks themed to a selection of characters.
Humorously, the entrée of the Shadow the Hedgehog-themed meal, the Dark Power Special Black Package, was cuttlefish pasta, likely in reference to his Doom Morph ability.
One of the many pieces of Egg Carrier concept art created by Satoshi Okano for Sonic Adventure (1998) depicts Dr. Eggman as a smoker.
In November 1996 Sonic Team members traveled to Central and South America to be inspired for areas in ‘Sonic Adventure’. This is a photo of a Sonic & Knuckles plush outside of ruins.

a common misconception I hear is that, while Silver’s cuffs in 06 are meant to be closed by default and only open when his powers are in use, they dont have any actual animation for it and are just model swaps/snaps. this is not the case!
not only are Silver’s cuffs fully rigged in his in-game model
but you can actually see them open in-game in cutscenes, completely animated!
(scene slowed down for effect)
its just that the camera moves so quickly that its hard to see!(this is also why I draw Silver with his cuffs closed when his powers arent in use, and why theres the option to open and close them in my dress-up game <3)
Knuckles’ ability to sense signals given off by the Master Emerald and related objects could be somewhat similar to real world echidnas using electroreception to locate prey. This is likely a coincidence, but a fun one nonetheless!
While Super Sonic never made an appearance in the manga, illustrator Sango Morimoto depicted Nicky’s “transformation” into Sonic the Hedgehog in a manner reminiscent of a Super transformation.
The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog (2023) does not allow you to name the player character after any of the other characters present in the title; attempting to do so will elicit a comment from them before prompting you to choose a different name. Vulgar or offensive words are also invalid names and prompt their own response.
At that time, Sonic was taking a nap on the beach when he found a small ring washed up along the shore.
The small ring was engraved with what seemed to be ancient characters.
When he picked it up, he remembered an old legend about an “island.”In Gerald Robotnik’s journal from Shadow Generations (2024), Gerald discusses procuring and deciphering an ancient ring that lead him to the whereabouts of Angel Island. This same ring, or another of its kind, is found many years later by Sonic the Hedgehog, as shown in the prologue for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (1994) that’s included with the game’s Japanese manual.
A very similar ring is also mentioned in the Japanese Knuckles’ Chaotix (1995) manual, although it’s instead connected to the ancient civilization that once resided on Newtrogic High Zone.
In a cut line from Shadow the Hedgehog (2005), Eggman states that GUN’s robots are poor copies of his designs. It’s unknown whether this is actually the case, especially since the line isn’t in the final game.
