Last month, my child refused to go to school.
He whispered, “I’m tired, Mom. Everyone else gets picked up by their dad.
I just held him.
Because I knew… that quiet pain hadn’t healed yet.
Since then, I promised myself — I’ll work as hard as I can so he can keep studying in a good place.
Not because I want a luxurious life,
but because I want him to know that even if life isn’t complete, love can still be whole.
I created this piece on nights when he was already asleep.
Its colors carry my exhaustion — and my prayers.

The faces emerge and dissolve into the texture as smoke, as if they were memories, fragments of a thought, maybe a dream. 
The upper subject, and her side eye, creates an almost cinematic focal point, like stage wings, the hand anchors her head, yet even in that firm grasp she melts away, in a recurring dream, a broken memory of a divided self 

Hand-drawn abstract figurative work, evoking melancholy, reflection and emotional complexity, materic and psychological stratification.
