Twenty-Two Years Ago

Twenty-two years ago, on this day,
at 10:30 in the morning ~ I married my Sweetheart.
We were young.  We were happy.  We were full of hope.
We had no idea what joys and sorrows lay ahead.
We didn't need to know.  It was a blessing that we didn't.
By God's Grace, we were building our lives together on the LORD.
And, He is Faithful.  SO Faithful.

We have nothing to fear when we are HIS.

At our reception we sang "I Cherish the Treasure of You" to each other.
One part of the song includes these words ~

"This sacred vow I make to you, does not contain an "if",
though I'm aware that trials lie ahead.
I will love you, and pray with you, and through it all I will
stay with you, our home will be a refuge of unconditional love."

It's a beautiful song and very meaningful.
And, it's all possible with the LORD.

We have had many happy times ~ many joy-filled times.
There have also been times of sorrow,
as well as trials and troubles along the way.
But, God is Faithful.  He does all things well.

Prior to our precious Austin's passing,
we had ups and downs in our lives...as everyone does.
However, nothing compares to the depth of this sorrow.
We've never gone through anything like this.
But, God is Greater and He is Deeper.
His ways are best and He walks this path with us.

Last night, we tended Austin's grave together.
It's what we did for our anniversary date.
Twenty-two years ago, we could not have imagined ourselves here.
But, we are here.  And, so is our Precious Saviour.
Each step of the way.

Many Blessings,
Camille

Of Curls, Weddings, and Beginnings

Our niece was married last Friday.
Nearly 21 years ago, she was our flower girl.
Emma was given the privilege of doing the same for her.

Full circle.  A tradition.

Emma read while I curled her hair. It took over an hour!
The style had to hold for more than five hours ~
the photos were being taken prior to the ceremony.

Emma was sent off with instructions
not to move her head!  Poor thing. :)

The ceremony was beautiful.  The bride was lovely.
(I haven't had permission to post photos yet, so I will leave you to your imagination).

The vows and rings were exchanged.  The documents were signed.
The kiss was given and received. :)
The unity candle was lit.

The couple were introduced as Mr. and Mrs.
And there was joy all around!  As it should be.

Austin and Fraser had the honour of
playing the background music at the reception
as guests found their seats.

Calvin was our photographer. We forgot to get a family picture.
I am so sad.  But, as I told Emma prior to the big day ~
"It's not all about us!"  And it really isn't.

The bride and groom were sent off in style under a tunnel of love.
We were so happy to have been able to witness
the beginning of their lives together as husband and wife.

It's such a joy to witness two young people who
love the LORD as they are united in marriage.
May the LORD be glorified in and through them ~
And may HE bless them abundantly in the years to come.

Blessings to each of you as well!
With Love, Camille

Thank you my love! XO

T.W.E.N.T.Y.

It's not REALLY possible
that we have been married for 20 years...is it??
Time marches on.
We are growing old together.

On our wedding day we sang Steve Green's song
"I Cherish the Treasure of Youto one another.

Little did we know that in
the midst of our joys and blessings,
there would be trials.  Difficult days.
Heartache and sorrow.

And through it all, we would grow to love more.
Deeper.  Stronger.  Little did we know.

Oh how FAITHFUL our Great God is!!
HE is the ONE Who keeps us.
HE is the ONE Who sustains us.
HE is the ONE Who gives us life.

All praise and glory to HIS Great Name!

If I'd known then what I know now,
I would have married my Sweetheart MUCH sooner.
AND I wouldn't have given him as
much trouble as I did! :)

It has been a great source of comfort and blessing over the years.
We are so thankful to belong to the LORD!
HE alone is worthy of all our praise.

Many blessings,
Camille
