Funky afrobeat, yeah, those tags are correct, but don't believe the old one claiming this to be an instrumental endeavour. The liner notes, of course, inform us about the addition of a (fine) vocalist, whose soulful voices wouldn't be out of place in a Daptone context (think Lee Fields or Charlie Bradley, rather than Thee Sacred Souls ;-) ). This is the first Macrotones album in my collection, but I'm planning to be back - good stuff :-)
