FAQ

Is Complianz free

Yes. Complianz Free includes a fully functional cookie banner, automatic cookie scan, script blocking, privacy policy generator, and support for GDPR, CCPA, and ePrivacy. There are no consent record limits. Premium adds multi-site, A/B testing, TCF, and advanced features.

Will Complianz slow down my site?

No. Complianz is built for performance. The plugin is lightweight and self-hosted, so there are no external API calls that slow your page load. Your Core Web Vitals stay intact.

Is Complianz really self-hosted?

Yes. Unlike most consent management platforms, Complianz runs entirely on your WordPress server. No visitor data is sent to external servers. This means you don’t need an additional data processing agreement for the plugin itself.

Does Complianz support Google Consent Mode v2?

Yes. Complianz has built-in support for Google Consent Mode v2. It automatically communicates consent status to Google services, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Tag Manager. Consent Mode v2 helps marketers recover lost conversion signals and improve campaign performance while respecting users’ consent choices.

Does Complianz work with WooCommerce?

Yes. Complianz integrates with WooCommerce, including support for tracking pixels, payment gateways, and marketing scripts commonly used in e-commerce stores.

How does Complianz handle different countries?

Complianz uses geo-based detection to show the correct consent banner for each visitor’s location. EU visitors see an opt-in banner (GDPR), US visitors from California see a CCPA notice, and visitors from other regions see the appropriate format.

Can I use Complianz on multiple sites?

The free version works on a single site. Complianz Premium supports WordPress multisite networks and includes features for managing consent across multiple domains.

They pushed an update with a coding error that crashed my site. Apparently let it stay live for several hours. Will be finding a different solution.

I actually paid for this useless plugin. When using Google ads it blocks all the actual sale scripts no matter the settings. The premium support consisted of a badly written AI bot that takes 4 days (!!) to respond via email. Then it just repeats the same « answer » once and stops responding after that. Actual support doesn’t exist and even the refund option doesnt work. Absolute scam!

Simple to set up, not annoying to visitors, great to comply.
