I've always had a fascination with the Titanic. I own a piece of coal from one of the boiler rooms and also an original print newspaper from the date of the event.

Diary of a sailor who retrieved bodies of Titanic victims from the ocean: "Fine weather started to pick up bodies at six a.m. and continued all day till five thirty P.M. Recovered fifty one bodies, forty six men four women and one baby. Burried twenty four men at sea at eight fifteen P.M. Rev Canon Hinds in attendance also Ships Company. Bodies in good state but badly bruised by being knocked about in the water."

Pawnbroker handed relics from the Titanic worth £1.2million in a carri
Pawnbroker pays £15,000 for bunch of Titanic 'relics' handed over in an old plastic bag... and finds they're worth £1.2million. Mark Manning, 50, bought the collection for £15,000. Artifacts include an inherited piece of ship's wooden staircase and fragment of steel hull. Collector passed relics on to allow other people the chance to admire them. The collector, who wishes to remain anonymous, also had in his possession a block of wood which was used to sit the engine upon while it was being made

A cigar box once owned by the captain of the Titanic has been sold for £ 25,000 at an auction in Liverpool. Sailor David Blair forgot to leave a key as the Titanic set off on its maiden voyage.His shipmates were unable to open a locker containing the binoculars that were to look out.Lookout Fred Fleet, who survived the disaster later told an official inquiry that if they had binoculars they would have seen the iceberg sooner,"Enough to get out of the way." 95 years later, the key is up for auction along with a postcard from Mr Blair telling of his disappointment at not being on the maiden voyage.
