Oh for the love of gin and smoke… Has anyone been watching the AMC show “Mad Men”? We have been Tivo-ing it since it started, but hadn’t had a chance to actually watch them until recently. The mid-century decor is impeccable and we’ve been drooling over each set.

Popular design trends are hard to pinpoint when you’re in the midst of them, but painfully easy to spot once you’re a decade or two removed (the groovy pad of Megan Draper on AMC’s Mad Men screams of the swinging ’70s). Post WWII, decor trends seem to have had about a 10-year lifespan, and we’ve chronicled the nostalgic bullet points for each period.

I have to say I'm certainly not going to miss Don's sad little apartment from last season. It was certainly fitting for his life at that time though. I'm happy to say he's moved on to a much more cheerful and happy apartment perfectly befitting of his life with his new wife Megan.
