I used the @newcrafthouse Everyday Top pattern and it really is as easy as splitting the front pattern pieces in half and finishing the raw edges with bias binding! I did forget to mention that when it comes to stitching the ties to the front, you want to stop stitching about 1.5 cm from the edge of the blouse.
