Before polluting Mata Ganga , we must read the origin of Mata Ganga, her origin was from the feet of Lord Vishnu and then taken in Kamandal by Lord Brahma , Mata Ganga was too powerful to be flown on Earth as her flow could destroy the whole earth, so Lord Shiva made this impossible thing into possible by binding Mata Ganga river in his hair and let 0.01% of Ganga to flow on Earth , rest 99.99% Ganga is still in Lord Shiva's hair, so by polluting the river, we are disrespecting TriDev also.
