So when you’re bringing the clay down, your side hand (left for me) doesn’t have to work very hard until the clay is in the low position. When you feel the clay resist you, respond by bearing in on it. I didn’t do that here because I wanted to keep my wobble for the demo. In fact, I pretended the wobble was more pronounced than it was. ACTING!   2) Getting the clay up into a nice cone means keeping the palm of the side hand (left) vertical. If you allow the palm to match the angle of the clay, the clay has no reason to move. Why would the clay move up when you’re pushing it down?
