Hiking on the Appalachian Trail by moonlight can be an exhilarating experience, to say the least. It’s beautiful and mysterious, and with the knowledge that you are walking in the presence of bear, your limited vision can play tricks on you. The fog adds to the adventure especially where the trail passes close to the edge of a cliff.
