a boat sitting on top of a river surrounded by trees and plants at night time

In my trip a few weeks back, I ate lunch at the Blue Bayou. Since I was by myself on a business trip, I could really take in the environment of the place - it is an incredible piece of theming. Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides) is a flowering plant that often grows upon larger trees, commonly the southern live oak (Quercus virginiana) and bald-cypress (Taxodium distichum) in the lowlands, swamps, and savannas of the southeastern United States from Texas and Florida north through southern Arkansas and Virginia. Spanish-moss is an epiphyte which absorbs nutrients and water through its leaves from the air and rainfall.
