Thermakind®, our proprietary ceramic nonstick coating, is made without potentially toxic materials like PFAS (including PTFE and PFOA), lead, and cadmium. PFAS are nicknamed “Forever Chemicals” because they do not break down easily in the environment or in the human body. As a result, they bioaccumulate over time, making them a highly concerning chemical group.

Most ceramic nonstick pans are oven safe, but temperature limits vary by brand. Quality ceramic pans can typically handle 350°F to 500°F. Always check the manufacturer's specifications before transferring from stovetop to oven, and remember that handles and lids may have different temperature limits than the pan body.

While ceramic coatings are nonstick, using a small amount of high-smoke-point oil or butter enhances performance and extends coating life. High-quality ceramic pans require much less oil than traditional cookware. Just a light coating is sufficient for excellent food release. Make sure to avoid aerosol sprays.
