I’m Hector, a Master’s student in Computer Science at UTRGV. My passion lies in building intelligent systems that combine reinforcement learning and computer vision, with a focus on autonomous navigation and locomotion for robotics.
I’ve been developing RL pipelines and training agents in simulation using NVIDIA Isaac Sim, exploring transformer-based models, policy learning, and sim-to-real transfer.
Outside of research, I enjoy Taekwondo and hiking 🥋🥾.
I’m slowly training with the goal of climbing a mountain 🏔️.
