Whether it is your first time or your return to San Francisco, there is no shortage of things to do, places to eat, and sights to see in the city. To get you started, our Hubber-curated guide has a few suggestions for making the most of your time in SF.
What to pack 🎒
October has some of the best weather San Francisco ever has. Expect temperatures to be between 55 F (12 C) and 70 F (21 C). If the fog is in, it can be very cold and damp, and the wind off the sea is brisk.
Do bring: layers, including a light jacket.
Do not bring: beach wear (beach wear in San Francisco usually involves a sweater and a jacket). The ocean is very cold in Northern California, and there are extremely treacherous rip currents.
📍Near Fort Mason
Restaurants 🍽️
A16
GastHaus Leopold’s
Wildseed (vegan)
The Brazen Head
House of Prime Rib
Abaca

Sights 👀
Presidio National Park - Wooded trails and Golden Gate views, formerly the oldest active military base in the United States
Lombard Street - Famously scenic & crooked road

Note of warning: if you have a rental car, do not leave your suitcase or valuables in it (even in the trunk). Rental cars in tourist areas are easy targets for thieves.
