This decision must be from a manager who doesn't even use github on a daily basis. Trending is a developers gateway to find amazing as well as up-and-coming projects. I also agree, most of the starred projects I have on my account was found through the trending page. Without trending I wouldn't even have found all the "awesome" repos which have such a valuable source of information. |

If GitHub deprecates "Trending" tab because of low usage, What are high usage tabs ? "For you" can not replace Trending tab, don't force people to use the new feature by shutting down the good feature. |

Sadly high powered users are sometimes some of the fewest users. It doesn't mean you eliminate their needs. This is how you frustrate and upset customers and Microshaft and even Apple are good at doing this. These idiot companies need to realize that these are actually the users to cater to regardless of their metrics. Steve Jobs "got it," but very few other business leaders comprehend this valuable and formative concept. |

The more time passes, the harder it is to reach the Trending tab on Github. With the new UI, there is an additional bottom sidebar button click required to access that tab. Seriously, it would be better to add OSS Insights or the Trending tab as a browser favorite. |

Community Building: The Trending tab fosters a sense of community, where developers can showcase their work and receive recognition from peers. 2. Suggestions2.1. Personalized Trending: Introduce a feature where the Trending tab can be personalized based on a user's interests, past contributions, and starred repositories. 2.2. Highlighting Academic & Research Projects: Given the increasing intersection of academia and open-source, it would be beneficial to highlight research-based projects on the Trending tab.
