Originated by: Robert Galante
Hook: Gaelic Supreme Mike Martinek Rangeley Streamer
Thread: Black
Tag: Flat silver tinsel
Body: Red floss
Ribbing: Flat silver tinsel
Belly: White bucktail with a short claret hackle tied flat
Throat: Red schlappen
Underwing: Claret hackle tied flat
Wing: Yellow hackle flanked by 2 claret hackles
Shoulder: Red golden pheasant feather
Cheek: Jungle cock
Head: Black
Notes: The mix of yellow and claret in an interesting one, and creates a chocolate like appearance. Robert ties the streamer with a feathers tied on the horizontal plane both in the belly and the underwing of the streamer. Most famously, this method of tying "flat" was used in the traditional tying of the 9-3 streamer designed by Dr. J. Hubert Sanborn.

Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
