The Memories return with a Digital 7" to celebrate their recent (partial) relocation to Los Angeles. While the rhythm section is still in Portland residing at the legendary freak fortress of Gnarnia, chief songwriters Rikky and Kyle recently moved to the Highland Park neighborhood of LA and have been smoking Cali weed and eating Cali burritos every day. These two songs represent two sides of migrating; one being the eagerness to dive in, to lose yourself in the heat of the night. To run blindly into the dark, carrying your own flame (for weed). The second half a reminder of the simple pleasures of home; skipping stones across a calm creek under a canopy of dense fir trees being one for these Pacific Northwestern natives. Two powerful, pretty, and potent pop songs to tide you over until the next surprise from The Memories. Released on a Friday to wish you luck.
